Jos Brouwers is a Full Professor and Chair of Building Materials at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/ He is devoted to the advancement and diffusion of knowledge concerning sustainable and functional building materials Current research interests include Sustainable building, Granular mix design and concrete/mortar rheology, Microstructure and pore water chemistry of hydrating cement/lime/gypsum and cementitious by products, and their dehydration, Treatment of contaminated soils, dredged sediments, industrial waste etc with the help of air/steam and by mixing with cement/lime/gypsum, transport properties and durability of cement/lime/gypsum based materials, functional materials self cleaning, air purifying, translucent, thermally buffering, etc.
He has published 2 books, more than 500 scientific publications (including over 300 ISI journal papers), with the ciation of about 20000 times (H index 71 His research is among others funded by the European Commission, Dutch natural science foundation, and by a sponsor group consisting of over 40 public and private organizations.
报告摘要:
In this presentation the smart recycling of concrete is addressed. Smart recycling means new crushing and separating techniques to obtain flows of relatively pure aggregates and cement stone, whereby the latter is tried to separate further in reacted and unreacted cement. Treatment of the flows, such as their accelerated carbonation, are introduced. Besides the material and processing techniques, also new characterization methods are presented to assess the phase composition of generated flows.
